In the beginning…

My name is Chris Bump and I am the owner and lead property manager of Property Management Executives. After graduating from San Diego State University with a Business Administration, Finance degree in 2001, I knew that I wanted to start a small business in the San Diego area. After all, I grew up in Point Loma and always knew that San Diego is where I would want to stay. My family was very supportive after I graduated college and my mother brought me in as a real estate sales intern. I began to learn the business and it didn’t take long to realize that property management was more my forte than sales. My mother definitely gets credit for my first clients as she often sold rental property to investors. Investors often do not like managing their own property, so my mother would refer them to my fresh new start-up. I began developing my new property management company as a more personal, professional and affordable option than many other companies. I also integrated the latest technologies to better serve my clients and tenants. Our company quickly went from managing a few properties to over a hundred in just a few years.

I’m constantly evolving my company to provide even better experiences for property owners and tenants. This involves bringing in new technologies and increasing our level of service. One new service for 2015 is the addition of video tours for all of our rentals. This gives potential renters an accurate virtual tour of the property on their phone or computer. Since we began our company, I never wanted to overcharge a property owner and have kept our fees at 8% with no other fees and no fees until a resident is actually paying rent. Also, I want to be accessible to property owners and tenants and we give out our direct phone numbers for quick service.  I love this business and always want to be sure that we provide the best property management experience possible for years to come.
